Seven Ocean, founded in Jan. 22 1977 with Seven (7) share holders
In 1970s, Taiwan’s Export was stimulated by Government’s important policies. It was the 
time Taiwan’s island economy started do link with the world trade. Transportation 
industry moved into the stage of rapid growth and development. Viewing the cargo carriage 
was mostly conducted by foreign fleet at that time, Seven Ocean Maritime Transport Co., 
Ltd. was founded in Jan. 22, 1977 to act as a shipping agency.  There were seven(7) share 
holders, from Tait and Swire, when company was established. Seven Ocean was named 
accordingly.


With more than twenty-two year's experience, Seven Ocean have become a vast organization 
offering a wide and varied spectrum of service. Moreover, the experience is not just 
limited in shipping agency business, it also extends into the field of ships-owner. Since 
April 1999, Seven Ocean became to a subsidiary company of Yi-Tong Container Group. The 
combination of fruitful experience and well-trained staffs who have thorough knowledge in 
shipping industry had contributed to making Seven Ocean a strong agent in Taiwan.
