Winmax Shipping Agency Corp. was established in the beginning of 1993
as a new rising star among the subsidiaries of Chia Hsin Cement Group
("CHC"), the third largest cement manufacturer in Taiwan with an an-
anal production capacity of around 2 million tons. With every endeavor
and diligence made during the past years, Winmax has become one of 
the leading shipping agencies in Taiwan.  Not only it accommodates the
expansion and diversification demands of CHC, but also it profession-
ally performs the multiple functions in teh following aspects:
-Shipping General & Booking Agency Services
-Chartering & Brokering Services
-Shipping Management Services
-Port Agency Services

Winmax consists of six departments: Agency Department, Business De-
partment, Shipping Management Department ("SMD"), Administration
Department, Financial Department and Kaohsiung Branch office, which
was established in April 1996.  Each department works closely with one
another for the purpose of benefiting our principles and customers.

Winmax was certified by the ISM accreditation to its office (DOC) and
vessel (SMC) on March 19, 1998 and May 5, 1998 respectively.  This has
upgraded our performance and service quality in the interest of own-
ers' costs and safety control, even further reduced the risk of disasters,
losses and claims.

Moreover, our goal of service quality is to continuously enhance cus-
tomers' satisfaction.  The company's commitment to quality was re-
flected in its policy to pursue ISO 9002 certification.  Winmax had inte-
grated the operation of all its staffs in different departments and
Kaohsiung branch office since March 1998.  On the 1st of October, 1999,
Winmax was awarded the quality standards of ISO 9002 by the BVQI.
